​As well as being pleasing to the eye and much better quality than modern alternatives, antiques and preloved furniture are, by their very nature a sensible purchase if you are wishing to lessen the overall environmental impact of your home furnishing purchases. ​

Over 95% of our stock is either antique or preloved and has been sourced within a 90 mile radius of our premises. In fact we often breathe a new lease of life into pieces of furniture when others would decide that it is not economically viable to do so.

The recycling ethos is at the very heart of what we do. The 19th century chapel in which we operate from has been restored using reclaimed materials and even the steel mezzanine has been constructed using re-purposed steel work and spray painted to look as if it is new.
Heating is kept to a minimum, however the building is heated at weekends by second hand modern clean burning wood stoves which are fueled using timber from a local sustainable source. At other times existing electric heaters are used on a green tariff.

If you are wishing to cut down on travelling by car, our premises is situated opposite a bus stop on the no.66 bus route from Oxford City.  Alternatively you can purchase from photographs on our website as so many do. In fact we have many regular customers who have never even visited us!
We have invested in a new vehicle which meets the latest Euro 6 emissions regulations for deliveries to Oxford city and for within low emission zones.

Antiques are affordable, sustainable, have a low carbon footprint and above all are beautiful.
